But did you know that eating fruits affects the appearance of our skin, making it brighter, firmer and better moisturised? No surprise here either, eh? Nature has always been (and continues to be) the most important ally of our beauty, working from inside and out. Completely organically. That’s why we decided to harness the power of fruits, extract the best from them, and spice things up a notch with a few of our proprietary tricks to deliver an absolutely exquisite skincare product. Fruit Cream is the first skin cream in our offer designed specifically for facial care. Yes, it has finally arrived! Its appetising name reveals what you will find inside. No nonsense and no unnecessary additives. Why mess with something good for us by nature?

The benefits of including fruits in our diet (and skincare!) stem from their antioxidant properties and high vitamin content. Our cream contains two different substances obtained from fruits – oils (i.e. emollients or grease) and extracts (i.e. essences).

Both oils (peach kernel, raspberry, currant, strawberry and apple seed) and extracts (apple, strawberry and raspberry) revitalise, regenerate and nourish the skin without clogging the pores. The antioxidants they contain protect the skin from the infamous free radicals that we all know from TV ads. But what are they exactly?

(Now, imagine the following is said in the voice of Maestro from Once Upon a Time… Life).

‘Free radicals are atoms or molecules with one or more unpaired electrons, making them highly reactive and unstable. Taking the missing electrons from other stable molecules severely damages them, leading to irreversible changes. As the outer protective layer of our body, the skin is the most vulnerable to harmful free radicals. The oxidation of the main cellular components such as lipids, proteins and nucleic acids leads to cell damage and subsequent dysfunction, resulting in the degradation of collagen fibres and elastin, disruption of skin structures, damage and mutation, photoaging of the skin and oxidative stress. As a result, the skin becomes dry, irritated and sagging, contributing to faster wrinkle formation.’

But enough with the scaremongering! It’s time for some good news. Because that’s where antioxidants come into play. Composed of many molecules and atoms, antioxidants contain an extra electron that can transfer to a free radical without becoming unstable. This means that our antioxidant-rich Fruit Cream will create a shield of sorts to defend the skin against harmful agents.

This product is a vitamin bomb, nourishing the skin with the much-needed vitamins A, B and E. Panthenol soothes and conditions the skin, thereby helping to maintain optimal moisture levels. Betaine softens the skin and cleanses it. There’s a reason why we put the word ‘light’ on the label of our Fruit Cream. Its gentle, nutritious and yet non-greasy formula moisturises and smooths the skin while absorbing in no time. This makes it a great day cream (it can definitely be used as a nutritional make-up base), but we didn’t want to limit its potential by labelling it as such. Fans of lightweight consistency will also find it a brilliant product for evening care. You do you.

Last but not least, the cream smells amazing. The skin-friendly clementine oil did its job and gave the product a sweet and citrus aroma – barely noticeable (a nod to those who aren’t so fond of scents), but delightful, soothing and relaxing. Sounds awesome? Sure it does!

How to use

Gently rub a small amount of the cream into the cleansed skin of the face, neck and neckline and let it absorb.
