Bar shampoo is already a modern classic. Bars take up little space, are efficient and convenient to travel
with plus there’s no packaging that’s a challenge to recycle. However, the solid form has its requirements,
for example, high cleaning agent content. This does not necessarily go hand in hand with the needs of dry
hair and skin. Why not take advantage of the goodness of nature (and the experience of hair lovers) and
replace some of the classic cleaning agents with rye flour, which perfectly absorbs dirt and at the same
time cares for the hair leaving it smooth and soft? That’s what we did, creating our gentle shampoo bar.
The hop shampoo bar was born out of our experiences with natural hair care. It is a way for us to share
our favorite beauty rituals. So there’s the mentioned rye flour for washing but also the acidifying rosehip
juice rinse and the volume-increasing beer-based rinse. Sometimes we think that it might be a bit too
much against the grain. But, on the other hand, shouldn’t you share the things you recommend to your
loved ones, the products you make and enjoy? So here it is!

What’s inside?

Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate – probably the most popular washing agent in shampoos and one of the
mildest anionic detergents. Its base is coconut oil fatty acids – their primary function in shampoo is, of
course, cleansing.

Rye flour – in addition to its moisturizing action, which happens thanks to polysaccharides, it also
absorbs dirt. It actually cleanses the hair on its own thanks to natural detergents called saponins.

Cetyl alcohol – unlike ethyl alcohol, it is a “good” alcohol that helps retain moisture, protects and
smoothes hair.

Linseed oil – nourishing, rich in unsaturated fatty acids, rebuilds the hair lipid layer. It is particularly liked
by the hair with higher porosity, demanding and dry.

Beer – boosts hair volume and also delivers a conditioning cocktail of humectants and proteins. Let us
only reassure you that we got rid of the alcohol.

Wild rosehip juice – moisturizing, and at the same time strongly acidic so it leaves the hair shiny and
soft.

Radish Ferment – one of the few ingredients with a preservative effect that is both natural and
moisturizing!

Squalane – an emollient, an ingredient extracted from olive oil: silky, smooth, nutritious, but also very
light. It does wonders to the face but takes care of the hair just as well.

Sweet orange essential oil – provides the bar with a delicate, pleasant aroma.
And that’s it! The bar shampoo, according to our rules, does not contain any artificial fragrances, dyes, or
other unnecessary fillers.

The hop shampoo has one more message: I am gentle by nature, so I do not produce a very rich foam. I
might be easier to apply directly onto the skin and hair. I assure you, however, that I handle the washing
bit quite well. Your hair will truly enjoy this!
